GreenMachines.net Announces Internet's First Green Corporate Governance Network

New York, NY (PRWEB) September 5, 2007 -- GreenMachines.net announces the launch of the Internet's first Green Corporate Governance Network - the first social network site devoted exclusively to global warming-related corporate social responsibility ("CSR").

According to Joshua Rubin, the founder and administrator of GreenMachines.net, "the mission of the Network is to help turn climate-related corporate decision-making into a public process in order to focus the technological and economic power of business corporations on the fight against global warming."

The hub of the GreenMachines Network is the Corporate Sustainability Forums, available at http://www.GreenMachines.net . The Forums include:

- The Whistle - about whether particular corporations are violating laws designed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions;

- The Long View - about long-term profit-maximizing, carbon footprint-reducing investments that corporations can make to develop or implement carbon dioxide ("CO2") capture and/or sequestration technologies;

- Value Added - about steps that corporations can take although not required by law or motivated by profit, including developing or implementing CO2 capturing or sequestering technologies, or publishing Corporate Sustainability Reports; and

- Deconstruction Zone - about the accuracy of a company's Corporate Environmental Responsibility Reports or other green PR.

The Forums are moderated, spam-resistant, and searchable. Anyone can read the Forums using a web browser or newsreader, or monitor any Forum using an RSS reader. Registered members can also monitor any thread within any Forum by email. Registration is simple, fast, and free.

Members can network by posting to the Forums, by using GreenMachines' Private Messaging System, and through GreenMachines' email system. Members can also contact each other by AIM Screen Name, Yahoo Messenger Handle, ICQ Number, MSN Messenger Handle, or Skype Name. Members are also able to create and participate in opinion polls.

The site also includes moderated RSS feed aggregates collecting current corporate sustainability news articles (http://www.GreenMachines.net/forumdisplay.php?f=19) and corporate CSR Reports and other green PR (http://www.GreenMachines.net/forumdisplay.php?f=16) culled from hundreds of news sites and blogs.
